Eco Village Premieres at IFFR
Update by All The Frenzy Productions
Hey y'all! Phoebe & Linds here, reporting back from our new headquarters in San Francisco, CA. 2024 has been monumental & humbling with the international premiere of Phoebe's directorial debut, Eco Village, at the International Film Festival Rotterdam earlier this year. Since then we've laughed, we've cried, we've screened, and of course we've sung. After Rotterdam, we hopped a plane to the UK to continue our investigation into the Shakespeare Authorship Question for an upcoming documentary series. We're so excited for Eco Village to hit theaters this fall for all to see. Check back here for updates! And in case you missed it, check out Phoebe's interview in Variety linked below! -with love, Phoebe & Linds
2024
Phoebe Nir on the impact of Disney summer movies on her debut feature film, Eco Village, which world premieres at Rotterdam this week.
When Robin hitch-hikes to an eco village she read about online, she is seduced by a highly musical parallel universe, in which wholesome earth skills blend vertiginously with Bacchanalia and Sadomasochism. Robin falls for Jake, a brilliant but tormented handyman, and their explosive connection incites a devastating series of events that reveals the limits of human connection and the true costs of utopia.
Starring Sidney Flanigan (Never Rarely Sometimes Always) & Lindsay Burdge (A Teacher).
Written & directed by Phoebe Nir, featuring her original songs.
